Considering the Challenges of Teaching the Problem of Evil to Teenagers and a Critique of Available Resources

Abstract: The Problem of Evil is considered one of the strongest arguments against the Christian faith and teenagers cannot ignore this reality of evil and suffering. This article will argue that the Problem of Evil has not been made comprehensively accessible for teenagers as the current available literature is too intellectually simplistic. A brief survey of three popular resources available for students on the topic reveals a lack of intellectual depth. Thus, considering more philosophically rich positions will expand and deepen the Problem of Evil apologetic conversation for teenagers.
